M.F.A. in Acting from Southern Methodist University, B.A. in Drama from University of Washington.

James comes to SRJC from Seattle, where he served as Artistic Director of GREX, a collaborative theatre company committed to producing new and classic works. James also wrote and produced original adaptations of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Pirandello’s Six Characters in Search of an Author, and Euripides’ Medea. Additionally, James has spent the past 9 years teaching and directing at Shoreline College and Cascadia College in the Seattle area. James is also a professional actor and has worked with such companies as ACT, Book-It Repertory, Tacoma Actors Guild, Fort Worth Shakespeare Festival, Dallas Theatre Center, and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
