Argo Thompson is a theatre marketing, communications and development professional. He excels at building relationships, making connections between people and creating partnerships.

He attracted over a million people to events in Marin by creating an online social arts network while Executive Director of Marin Art Council. As Executive Director of 6th Street Playhouse he raised $1.3 million and led the renovation project of an historic warehouse into a state-of-the-art theatre. As Art Director of Market Live he converted fortune 500 magazines into e-commerce websites now generating over 2 million dollars in annual sales.

Argo is a sought after public speaker, panelist and consultant who has worked with Theatre Bay Area, Napa Valley Performing Arts Group, The Center of Non Profit Leadership, Marin Community Foundation, Marin Civic Center, Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, Sonoma County Health And Harmony Festival, O’Hanlon Center of the Arts, Theatre Bay Area, the North Bay Theatre Group (founding Member), various service clubs throughout Northern California and the California Arts Council.

He was awarded Top Five Arts Makers by the Press Democrat (2004) and Arts Maker of the Year by the Northern California Bohemian (2003). He earned a BFA from the North Carolina School of the Arts.
